Thought I would fill you in on how the potty training did...I did not actually think that I was going to do nearly as well as it seems that I did; or rather, D did much better than I expected :)
Monday D was in pull ups all day and we took him every 20-30 minutes. Tuesday I started with the underwear. It was pretty rough most of the day because it seems that he went every 10-15 minutes. And I was setting the timer for 15ish...and I would restart it after an accident. Silly me! I realized the value of the pull up when he went #2 in the undies. It was super gross.
Wednesday was better-but not by much; still some accidents, but it seemed like he might have started to get it.
Thursday was awsome. We only had 2 accidents, and we even went out for lunch and shopping and to the park. He did great!!
Friday we slipped a little bit, but I was just so happy that he was getting the idea that I kinda let him have a day off...Okay, I was tired and did not really care...Do you blame me?
He still will not got #2 in the toilet. He still says "mommy, i go poop" when he means that he has to go potty-right now.
Let's cut him some slack-he is doing AWESOME-let's remember that he is not even 3 yet!!

weekends
So, you probably thought I was going to say something like "this weekend..."
Nope. I am going to tell you that L now does not like weekends. WHY?!?
"It's 2 days that I can't go to school". Yeah, let's see how long that lasts!!

shopping & cheers
so...sitting at the computer reading all about NieNie (see the button to her link) when D came down asking if I wanted to go shopping. Sure! He grabbed my hands "C'mon, let's go" we are both still in jammies and he has breakfast all over his face...yeah, I think we might need to clean up first :)
then, both boys having thier selected beverages in their sippy cups, happened to look at each other in the same instand and both said "CHEERS!" and tapped thier glasses together. So cute!

Hangman anyone??
Hey-anyone know a 6 letter word for 'garbage bin'?
backstory: after I first added the hangman game on the blog, I was playing it!! But I thought that "garbage bin"was a clue to the word that I was trying to solve...totally did not get that it was the trash!! Yeah, dad and I laughed at my goofiness :)

Ok. I know. Stop! Seriously, I promise not to wait so long between posts. Even though no-one reads it anyway...
So, here it goes...it's gonna be long...so much to say...

Oh yeah, camping weekend!
Imagine this: You have been asleep about an hour at one end of a 29 foot trailer and awaken to the sound of your youngest coughing at the other end. Which is not bad, but he does have a huge gag reflex and with a coughing fits this big, vomit is sure to be on its way. You scramble out of bed telling your husband what is about to happen, asking him to turn on a light as you try to avoid the dog in the near pitch black trailer.
Not to disappoint, it came. Got him cleaned up, and it came again. Got him cleaned up (again) and it was pretty much under control. Not knowing if he was sick or if it was just from his coughing, you hold him on the couch sitting upright-just in case.
You try to sleep.

13 more years...and an attempt at life...
The first day of kindergarten. Only ruined because I had to walk L into class and not just to the door like he asked me to. Oh well, not the first time I will embarrass him!! He loves class and loves riding the bus. D is pretty upset because he has never been without “brother” and stands in line to get on the bus too, but I think he is adjusting well.
This week I am on vacation. Well, sort of. I am attempting to potty train D. He is attempting to drive me crazy. I know that I am not succeeding, but suspect he is :)

the parties
Ok, so the "grown-up" party at home and the "kid-party" at Chuck E Cheese both went off pretty smooth. L & D both behaved very well and it does work out great having 2 parties...except the whole having to clean for 1 party and paying for the other...but, everyone had a great time at both!
L loved all the presents! I am really glad that he did not get any of the same things becuase he likes to point out when he already has something. Which does happen since both boys are so spoiled!
Glad it's over! Can't wait for next month for D's parties!! WAHOO!

little tidbits
"Indeed"
L was sitting on Daddy's toilet doing some thinking-and of course D thinks he has to "think" also. So I tell D that brother is uding daddy's toilet so he has to go upstairs. "Indeed I am using this toilet. Not everyone says indeed, mom. I try to say it everyday." WHAT!?! Really, my almost 6 year old-indeed!
"Dazzling"
L was using his brand new blendy pens: "these blendy pens are dazzling, mom" Good thing I was already sitting down, or I would have fell down with laughter. Almost wet myself. It was just so funny!
~updates to follow about the recent Birthday Parties!! The BIG 6 for L....all the fun & presents!!
and the first day of Kindergarden!!
